Crack decoupling

In order to avoid substrate tension and crack formations on ridgit substrates such as OSB boards, ply boards, mixed substrates, cracked screeds etc. decoupling membranes can be installed prior to tile fixing.Botament provide 3 decoupling systems. Botament AE waterpoofing and decoupling. 2. Botament DE thin decoupling system and Botament TE sound insulation and decoupling.

Botament AE waterproof and decoupling

Botament AE membrane is light weight with low installation height. AE membrane has an additional function as a waterproof membrane also. It can be installed to wall and floors in Bathroom and wetrooms , Balconies and Industrial applications. STEP. 1 .prime mineral substrate with Botament D11, on timber prime with Botament D15. Step 2. With 4mm trowel spread Botament tile adhesive .STEP3. Insert the AE membrane with 5cm overlap ,compress down. STEP4. Spread Botament Tile adhesive onto AE. STEP 5. Position tile into adhesive bed.STEP6. Grout with Botament grout.

Botament DE Thin decoupling membrane

Botament DE thin decoupling is designed for floor applications ,it is especially beneficial because of its low instalation height. Application steps for Botament DE system STEP. 1 .prime mineral substrate with Botament D11, on timber prime with Botament D15. Step 2. With 4mm trowel spread Botament tile adhesive .STEP3. Insert the DE membrane with 4cm overlap ,compress down. STEP4. Spread Botament Tile adhesive onto AE. STEP 5. Position tile into adhesive bed.STEP6. Grout with Botament grout.

Botament TE decoupling and sound insulation

Botament TE is suited when laying tiles to problemtic substrates such as timber floor boards, ply boards, mixed substrates and young or cracked screeds.TE also provides noise impact insulation tested according to EN ISO 140-8.
